What is a name?
How important is gender in building wealth and value?
We have chosen a handful of women and half a dozen key moments in history (this one, still universal, with H) to think and to reflect upon us: which place of privilege do we owe Rosa Parks, Hilda Hilst, Gertrud Stein, Rosa Luxemburgo and other women ?
What is left for us to do?
Keep the fist in the air, always fight: for us, for those who are to come and with respect for those who have preceded us. And here, and there, howl with joy.

Que importância tem o género na construção de riqueza e valor?
Escolhemos um punhado de mulheres e meia-dúzia de momentos chaves na História (desta, ainda universal, com H) para pensar e pensar-nos: que lugar de privilégio devemos a Rosa Parks,Hilda Hilst, Gertrud Stein,Rosa Luxemburgo e outras mulheres?
O que nos falta fazer?
Manter o punho no ar, combater sempre: por nós, pelos que hão-de-vir e em respeito aos que nos precederam. E aqui, e ali,uivar de alegria.

“Rules of taste enforce structures of power.” Susan Sontag
Ensinaram-me várias técnicas onde o meu corpo nunca coube. Desobediente, descobriu-se por entre vértebras, músculos, negociação entre resistência e desistência, partituras por vezes dissonantes e repetitivas, que se foram transformando num discurso, percorrendo paisagens por entre desconhecimentos, ângulos, memórias. O corpo-tudo, o corpo-todo, o lugar da performance como ritual de (re)apresentações de manifestos de existência: o trabalho invisível como partitura central de um ballet, a fome e a fartura a besuntar-se, a palma da mão no tomate, a voz que se redefine, a emergência do momento presente.

They taught me several techniques where my body never fitted. Disobedient, discovering itself in between vertebrae, muscles, negotiating between resistance and desistance, sometimes repetitive and dissonant scripts, transforming themselves into a discourse, travelling landscapes of not-knowing, angles, memories.
Body-everything, body-full, the place of performance art as ritual of (re)presentations of manifests of existence: the invisible work as the central script of a ballet, the anger and the plenty, rubbing themselves, the palm of my hand on the tomato, the voice redefining itself, the emergence of the present moment.
